DAI stonewalls again
DAI stonewalls again
Once again, because Downtown Amarillo Inc. Executive Director Melissa Dailey refuses to talk to The Amarillo Independent, we are forced to file public records requests. And, for whatever DIA's and Dailey's reasons, once again and as is their usual modus operandi, they make it as difficult as possible to obtain records. In this case, I am requesting correspondence between DAI and Wallace Bajjali.
DAI is using the Underwood Law Firm, which sent the Indy an email at 5:03 p.m. Friday — typical lawyerly obstructionist move — with an attached letter. Click on the page for a larger view.
Of course, all this flies in the face of a long discussion we had with David Wallace, who told the Indy that the entire process would be transparent. I guess he and DAI want it to be transparent as long as we make them look good and don't hold them accountable.
I have taken DAI on pro se and have won, but would appreciate some pro bono legal help on this one.
Please email me privately at george (at) amarilloindy.com
Thanks.
